Revelation
Kneeling in front of the toilet today at about 1 in the afternoon, I had the revelation that Exit Mold is the best bathroom cleaner around.
Let me explain: I have recently moved house, so in grand flatting tradition we had the final clean-up today. It was most entertaining, lots of vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and dusting. Somehow, in the furore, I got landed with helping clean the bathroom. I don’t mind cleaning the odd bathroom when I don’t think that I have something more important to do, such as sleep or eat, but this was a real mission! During this cleaning frenzy, the more traditional cleaners such as Spray and Wipe and Ajax were taken, so I was stuck with the old Exit Mould.
This stuff rocks! It has bleach and some ammonia compounds and all kinds of great stuff. And it’s one of those products that you know is working because it stinks. I’m not talking a lovely ‘clean and fresh’ odour, but rather a membrane-dissolving, ammonia-laden stink that permeates every pore. And I don’t think it plays nice with other cleaning products either, because as soon as you mix it with something else like shower cleaner the smell gains more momentum, and a slight hint of chlorine.
The rest of the clean-up went okay, reasonably uneventful, and hopefully there’s a happy ending when we get our bond back…hurray!

Will, you need more excitement in your life… road trip?

Sure Sach, sounds like a plan. Yes my life is somewhat boring, but I like to think that I can at least make it sound interesting from time to time! Not to mention I have already had someone agree with me that Exit Mould is the best in the business!

Baby, all we want to hear about is sex, drugs, and rock and roll

You sure are random tcc!
Also thought I’d add that a friend of mine was listening to the radio on the same night that I wrote the above post, and it turns out that one of the radio presenters used to use Exit Mould as a cheap alternative to hair bleach. That disturbs me a little.

Ahhh… that sounds rough. Not anything I would ever put in my hair anyway! Then again, I think that I would look ridiculous as a blonde and I’m sticking to that assumption.
PS. I really am cold. It’s -23 with the wind chill factor!

You, as a blonde….Hmmm…that would be interesting at the least!
Is that -23°F or -23°C? Either way it’s about 25°C outside here, rather balmy actually.
Although, having said that, its surely cold enough to go skiing/snowboarding…you work/live anywhere near the slopes?

My day has been made.

Hah, shot Pete, truly insightful!
I’m not allowed to draw any special attention to the ads lest I violate the programme policies etc…

Celsius, of course! Only the bloody Americans use Farenheit anymore… today, -27, and it snowed last night! 15 cm! I took a picture which I will be sure to email to you when I get a chance… I finally, truly feel that I am home.
As for boarding… it is MORE than cold enough, and we have a company ski day on Friday and on Saturday I am going to upstate New York with friends. That said, the REALLY good runs are in Quebec, Alberta and BC.

Ahh, remember the bathroom in Sydney, what a fine job you did on that… : )
February 15th, 2007 at 10:31 am
I remember that JAC! I think that was the day that I officially became disillusioned with cleaning. That blimmin bathroom took me three or four hours! :-/
Completely agree tcc, bloody Americans and their silly arbitrary scales! Company Ski day!!? Does that mean the company pays for you all to go skiing during the day, then get boozed at night? Sounds wicked! Any spare places around?
