Cake vs. Study
Let it not be said that studying is the be all and end all during the exam period. There is cake.
During a recent ’study break’ (i.e. when mechanics was getting even more boring than usual) it was decided that we wanted a cheap but filling snack, so a runner was sent to Safeway with $4 to spend on snacks. What did they come back with but a cake and 50c change, the wonders of modern cake-making technology! Within our studying clique we managed a knife (see pictures), three plastic spoons, a napkin and a couple of sets of wooden chopsticks, not bad! Although it must be asked why we carry these objects around at all!?
Cake must be one of the most efficient snacks I’ve had this study period, and almost as filling as the good ol’ Milo and peanut butter toast routine I’ve been working on for the last few years. I’m not too sure about the nutrient content of either, but the cake was multi-coloured, and that’s always a step in the direction of nutrition. Thought the piccies were necessary, as it was a most momentous occasion, and it served to distract us from mechanics.

Caik - I hear you say - yes - caik - and a damn good one at that - espescially for $3.50 (Red Spot Special - not ‘use by was last week’ clearance) by the way.
I was the runner in question, and it was worth the run, if only for the hillarity of not eating caik to break up the monotonous tedium of solving some exam questions in 5-8 minutes (45 minute questions), and still being stumped on some others.
I’d like to thank Will for providing the cash (though he owed it to me - so I sort of paid for it…) and the knife, and to lygon st Safeway for being open at 4.58 on a sunday - and having good looking and tasting cheap cakes left.
Tomorrow may bring an Aldi filler, who knows.
Later kiddies,

You do realise that those cakes often do not have a shelf life, more a half life, and i’m pretty sure can survive nuclear holocaust. but then again why would you take any advise from the fat engineer.
A word of advise will, keep pics of yourself well clear of the blogginess, or at least shower before appearing in a pic!
And sorry to dis SST, but the best bargin is the cake box full of cookie lovin’ from safeway all for a low $3.98 (fresh, cheaper when not) sort of makes you wonder how they manage to get that much food for that little price.
All that can be quoted is lunch lady doris “there’s not much meat in these gym mats” whilst making F grade food.
Over and out, but you can get steppin’
