willmidgley.com is now Live!
Well, after much farting around with transferring files and such (seems that the university doesn’t like us using their computer systems for file transfer) I’ve finally managed to transport my blog to the new domain, willmidgley.com! Thanks must go to Sinuous Design for the web hosting, and to those who click on ads to help me pay the hosting fees!
Life continues as normal outside of the blog-centric world. The wind-up to the end of semester starts, and assignments are flowing like South Australian goon at a St. Mary’s College floor party. For those of you who I haven’t seen or talked to in ages, my apologies. As usual I’ve been snowed under with uni work, and lately I’ve been busy with this production being undertaken by the Union House Theatre. If you’re in Melbourne definitely come and see it, it’s a great show!
Feel free to leave comments and let me know what’s going on in your life, I hope to update this blog every now and then, and I check it often! It should be especially interesting when I travel around Europe for a month in June … stay tuned!

I like the St. Mary analogy. What’s the Union House show?

Ha ha Will, you are such a nerd! (yeah, I know, looks who’s talking)
Did you come over to ChCh this holidays or did I just completely miss you?

Union House show is called ‘working’ IIRC.
Cool new domain, and cool new look. {cough}

Hey shoogo,
Nah, didn’t come over mid-semester went to Ballarat instead to go gold mining, its like a 100x better version of Shantytown…
You just wish you had your own domain name shoogo…did you click on some ads?

My web browser (Ephinany, similar to firefox) automagically blocks any Google ad content, so I don’t even see your adds, let alone click on them.
I own several domain names but don’t use any for a blog cos frankly I don’t think my life is interesting enough to presume that others will be interested in reading it. But your blog rocks. Especially the Google Maps thing.
(My domains cost me about US$9 each per year and I get hosting for free….. are you really so cheap that you need adwords to pay $9 per year
??)
(p.s. why the hell is Berocca sponsoring this page?)

You really have a web browser that blocks google ad content, cool! AdWords are useful to help pay hosting fees, and mine are slightly higher than US$9 per year..that’s what you get for going with a non-dodgy online retailer!
And, ah, Berocca isn’t sponsoring this page, it’s kind of a joke, ‘cos I’m “powered” by Berocca, get it shoogo?

Haha, I wondered why I wasn’t seeing the Google ads. Forgot about my adblocker Firefox extension…
Hugo, do you mean Epiphany? As cool as “Ephinany” sounds…

Berocca makes the world go ’round. Or a good part of the MU Eng faculty at least. That and Mini Meals.
Seeing as there are a few mac users here, I’d like to ask an opinion. As a recent adopter of adiumx, I’m still making my mind up about this…
…is spell check good or bad?

The aim ofcourse to blind Ooi and make him talk about his wife.

Hey Will-
True to form, it is Monday morning and I am sitting at work, bored as all hell… I’ve had maybe 15 (?) people come into the store in the last two hours… it’s a barrel of fun… so anyway, the point is, I’m bored and find myself checking out your blog. Looks good, though I had no idea how big of a nerd you were based on our Sunday night chats. It’s ok, I won’t hold it against you. I am also a closet nerd. Give me a store filled with architecture books and I will show my true colours quickly.
If you ever find yourself bored (as most students tend to do), check out mine. It can be found at www.livejournal.com/users/sachthemaneater
It’s mostly a documentation of my many trials and tribulations while travelling… sometimes humourous, sometimes…
Cheers,
Sacha (one of the regulars)

Hah, nice livejournal name, “sachthemaneater”?
I tried to go have a look, but it’s blocked by the uni, unsurprising I suppose! That and I’ve not really had the time to be bored recently, with slightly more than one piece of assesment due per day for the last week of semester!
I know I’m a nerd. It’s a problem I’ve learnt to deal with by showcasing my nerdiness for others to laugh and gawk at… such is life.
